When chat contact export helps

Not every workflow starts from a group. Sales, support, real estate, education, local commerce, and operations teams may need a reviewed spreadsheet of visible WhatsApp Web contacts from existing chats or saved contacts before they assign owners, clean duplicates, or prepare follow-up.

Useful review filters

The extension includes paths for all contacts and all open chats. Where available in WhatsApp Web, teams can review contacts with unread messages separately from chats without unread messages. That helps support, sales, and operations teams separate urgent review from routine cleanup.

Recommended workflow

  1. Open WhatsApp Web in Chrome and let the chat list finish loading.
  2. Launch WA - Download Group Phone Numbers.
  3. Choose the all-contacts or all-open-chats source based on the workflow.
  4. Select fields such as country code, phone number, saved name, display name, source, labels, and unread/message context only when needed.
  5. Download Excel or CSV, remove duplicates, and add owner, status, source, and next-action columns before any follow-up.

What this is not

This workflow is for visible WhatsApp Web contact and chat context in your current session. It is not a hidden WhatsApp database export, device-address-book backup, or native WhatsApp account sync.
