WhatsApp group contacts not exporting?
If the export does not work as expected, start with the browser and WhatsApp Web checks below before contacting support.
Common reasons exports fail
- WhatsApp Web is stale and needs a refresh.
- The selected group is not fully loaded in the browser.
- The contact fields are not visible to the current WhatsApp Web session.
- The extension needs to be updated from the Chrome Web Store.
- Another browser extension is interfering with WhatsApp Web.
First checks
- Update WhatsApp on your phone.
- Refresh WhatsApp Web in Chrome.
- Open the target group and wait until participants load.
- Run the export again with only the required fields selected.
- If it still fails, restart Chrome and try again.
When to contact support
Contact support when the group loads normally in WhatsApp Web but the extension still does not export the visible contact details. Include your Chrome version, extension version, and a short description of the group/export fields selected.
